We’re looking for a Director of Marketing who is equal parts Leader, Producer, and Strategist to accelerate our growth to warp speed. Someone who cares to educate, drives to optimize, and craves a gnarly challenge.

As Director of Marketing at TrainHeroic, you’ll write the future for both an internal team and an industry. As the leader of a small group with big ambitions, you’ll own everything. Awareness, education, retention? It’s all you. Strategy, tactics, budget? Yup, that too. Process management, people development, culture creation? You’ve got it, partner.

You’re here to take our Marketing team from two to twelve. Our audience from tens of thousands to hundreds. As Director of Marketing, you’ll report directly to our CEO and be key part of the TrainHeroic leadership team.

As Director of Marketing, you will: 

  • Closely collaborate with the TrainHeroic leadership team to drive growth and engagement
  • Manage the website, promotional and product campaigns, content development, PR, events, and other marketing and education efforts across all channels
  • Own the strategy and tactical implementation of all marketing program budgets, projections, goals and objectives
  • Activate and manage strategic partners including national governing bodies, professional athletes, coaches and industry brands
  • Refine and manage the reputation, voice, and tone of the brand
  • Regularly analyze and report quantitative and qualitative data to key stakeholders
  • Hire, manage and mentor high performing marketing professionals and contractors

To be successful in this role, you possess:

  • 5-10 years of direct marketing and strategic business experience
  • 5+ years in managerial and leadership roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, English, Design, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Proven success developing strategies for all aspects of marketing (branding and PR, product promotion and advertising, partnerships, content, events, email, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of market research and data analysis methods including experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Beginner’s mindset, humbly and constantly seeking to learn
  • Uncommon grit and resourcefulness
  • No BS, can-do, will-do attitude to get things done

  • Experience in the strength and sports performance market as an athlete or coach
  • Experience using TrainHeroic products and services
  • Experience using Hubspot
